New England Health Advisory is written by numerous health and wellness experts with experience in a variety of fields.
Jeanne O’Brien Coffey is an accomplished freelance writer with nearly two decades experience, and a special passion for health and wellness issues. Her work has appeared in the Boston Globe Magazine, Executive Travel, Forbes and Men’s Health, among numerous other online and print publications.
Eugénie Olson has been a consumer health writer and editor for nearly 15 years, and has held editorial positions at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Revolutionhealth.com and Kidshealth.org. Eugénie has lupus, which lends her health writing a feeling of empathy and a friendly tone. She is also the author of three novels and two haiku books (two of the novels have been translated for foreign markets and one was optioned for film and TV), and she has read an original piece about lupus on National Public Radio.
Inger Pols has received certifications from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University’s Teachers’ College as a Holistic Health Counselor. She is board certified by the American Association of Drugless Practitioners and is also a Holistic Stress Management Instructor and certified as a Master-Instructor of Integrated Energy Therapy. She is an Emotional Intelligence Coach, a certified Personal Trainer, Outdoor Bootcamp Instructor and an Indoor Cycling Instructor for more than 10 years.
Marie Rosenthal, MS, is a journalist who has been writing about human and animal health for more than 20 years. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, Tom, and two weimaraners, Jane Eyre and Jake Barnes.
Juliette Berry Shimkets holds a masters degree in cellular and molecular biology. She was an oncology researcher working in the field of biotechnology for the past 10 years. Juliette has written several publications for scientific journals and has co-authored patents for oncology research. She is currently working in the field of science education. She lives with her three sons and certified therapy dog in Easton, Connecticut.
Catherine Winters has been a health editor at Good Housekeeping, Ladies’ Home Journal, Health and Parents magazines, among others. As a writer, she has published in a wide range of consumer magazines and newsletters including Prevention, Spry, Ladies’ Home Journal, Health, Arthritis Today, Self, MediZine and Consumer Reports on Health.
Nancy Witting has many years of experience writing, editing and managing a wide range of publication types, both electronic and printed. These include educational curricula, newsletters, magazines, marketing and corporate communications, technical documentation, academic papers, and nonfiction books. Her abiding interest in preventive care and alternative medicine informs her writing on health issues.
